At the western edge of Thessaloniki, where the contemporary urban landscape meets the area’s industrial heritage, CITRUS emerges as a new architectural statement a building that does not merely assert its presence, but expresses intent: the intent of a city that chooses sustainability, responsibility, and human-centered design.

CITRUS is the first building in Thessaloniki to achieve LEED Platinum certification, the highest international distinction for sustainable buildings, positioning the project as a benchmark for the way modern professional environments are designed and operate.
The interior layouts emphasize natural light, natural ventilation, and the creation of a favorable microclimate that supports employee well-being, while the private 400 sq.m. courtyard functions as a calm, green core within the urban fabric.

ARCHITECTURAL CLARITY

With a total surface area of 5,170 sq.m., Citrus was designed with an architectural approach that balances restrained geometry with a sense of openness and spatial clarity. The openings created with the ESSENCE W67BS HI² system, the clean lines, and the building’s luminous character are organically integrated into a design philosophy focused on everyday functionality, comfort, and spatial flow.

LEED Platinum certification is not merely a title; it is the outcome of a comprehensive and collaborative process. It is the result of the collective work of architects, engineers, sustainability consultants, and specialized fabricators who place people and the environment at the core of design. Within this framework, the ELVIAL ESSENCE W67BS HI² and ELVIAL FS50 aluminium systems serve as key structural components of the building’s overall performance.

SUSTAINABILITY AS EVERYDAY PRACTICE

Citrus falls under the LEED BD+C (Building Design & Construction) category, demonstrating that even large-scale office buildings can function as living examples of green development. The project is part of HUB 26, the first large-scale bioclimatic business park in Northern Greece an area that is reshaping how we perceive and experience the contemporary workplace.
