ELVIAL welcomed 30 students from the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) to its facilities, as part of the Health & Safety Course. The visit offered a comprehensive educational experience, aiming to bridge academic knowledge with the real-life conditions and requirements of modern industry.
The program began with a presentation by Mr. Nikos Kyriakou, Technical Manager and representative of the Management, who introduced the company’s operations, values, and technological foundation. This was followed by a guided tour of the production facilities by Mr. Pavlos Vagionas, Plant Manager, and Mr. Stefanos Sfikas, Production Manager. In addition, the students received an in-depth briefing on the health and safety systems

implemented across all operational stages of the company, delivered by Ms. Martha Vranaki, Mechanical Engineer, MA, MSc, and Ms. Anna Kaoula, Quality Assurance Department, MSc Chemical Engineer.
The students had the opportunity to observe firsthand the procedures, protocols and best practices that ensure the highest level of protection for both people and infrastructure. As part of the discussion on career development, the career prospects in the aluminium industry and the opportunities for young scientists to join ELVIAL were presented by the company’s Human Resources Manager, Ms. Maria Karafoulidou.
