 ELVIAL 7600  – Custom louvers, 700×50 mm cross-section

A project of profound symbolic value and high aesthetic quality has been completed, bearing the signature of ELVIAL.
The Ministry of National Defence, a place deeply intertwined with national memory and the collective sense of defending the homeland, acquires a new, iconic appearance that redefines its presence within the contemporary urban landscape.
An elevation that is not merely an architectural renewal, but a contemporary artistic statement: a mesh of light and geometry that highlights the “Ark of National Memory” and honors the 121,692 fallen heroes of the country.

ARCHITECTURAL VISION

The scale of the project called for a delicate convergence of precision and inspiration. Across 2,840 sq.m., specially designed ELVIAL 7600 louvers, with a 700×50 mm cross-section, were created to combine structural integrity with the artistic language of Mr. Konstantinos Varotsos. Every incision and every process was executed with respect for geometry and purity of form. The result: a surface that breathes rhythm and light, where technical order meets the poetry of line.

THE AUSTERE POETRY OF FORM

The louvers, in the shade MAT 9016 AKZO, trace a rhythmic field that softens the monumental scale of the building. Like lines of light, they create a surface where technology becomes a vehicle of subtlety and art finds space to breathe.

PRECISION IN EXECUTION

The steel framework and the louvers were assembled with precision, forming a surface that stands stable, clean, and balanced upon the building’s shell. Installation was completed from July to October, within an impressively short timeframe considering the scale and complexity of the project.

From the initial design to the final installation, every stage followed the same inner course: a pursuit of balance, precision, and clarity. Thus, a structure was born that breathes rhythm and geometry—a surface that embraces the building and allows it to speak with its own quiet strength.

For ELVIAL, this project was not just another technical challenge. It was a moment of responsibility and honor: a meeting of art and engineering called upon to serve collective memory, bridge the past with the present, and illuminate the future. All of this was realized by Greek hands—from the first fabrication to the final point of support—with the same dedication that shapes works destined to endure.
